Built in the 1970s this delightful baroque style theatre was designed specifically to enhance the audience’s enjoyment. Along with magnificent two-tier boxes and plush red seating to maximise comfort, its wide choice of fabrics makes for acoustics that are truly second to none.
With a U-shaped design, a sloped ceiling to maximise vision, and a seating capacity of 1,600 people, the building is ideal for operas and other forms of musical entertainment.
With two operas produced annually, as well as an array of other performances, this splendid theatre is still as popular a venue among the Island's aesthete’s as it was 35 years ago.
Opera fan or not, the magnificent Aurora theatre is well worth a visit.
